Nepal Telecom Faces Internet Disruptions Amid Bandwidth Provider Issue, Working to Restore Service

Nepal Telecom (NTC) is currently experiencing internet slowdowns and connectivity issues due to heavy traffic pressure following a problem with one of its international bandwidth providers. Since 1:30 AM on July 8, 2025 (Ashar 24), users have reported difficulty accessing the internet as NTC reroutes traffic through an alternative provider, causing network strain.

NTC assured customers that all necessary efforts are underway to restore normal service promptly. The company also apologized for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen disruption.

As Nepal’s second-largest internet service provider, NTC serves over 352,000 fixed-line customers and 14.6 million data users nationwide.
