Second Edition of “Emerging Technologies in Multidisciplinary Fields” Conference Opens in Muscat

Muscat — The second edition of the international conference titled “Emerging Technologies in Multidisciplinary Fields” commenced today in Muscat, focusing on the impact of emerging technologies in advancing higher education and shaping the future of universities amidst digital transformation.

The two-day conference’s opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Nadir bin Al Julanda bin Majid Al Said, Secretary General at the Diwan of Royal Court.

Attended by 35 local and international experts, the conference facilitates dialogue on emerging technology challenges and latest trends in education technology applications.

The agenda includes five key sessions:

  1. Future of digital applications, artificial intelligence (AI), financial innovation, and visionary approaches in Omani higher education.
  2. Digital transition in education and human-centered AI solutions.
  3. Innovative learning solutions integrating AI, Internet of Things (IoT), and virtual environments.
  4. Technology, ethics, and innovation in the digital era.
  5. Role of AI in linguistics and educational narratives, covering classrooms to gaming consoles.

Additional topics include AI applications in industry, security, and storytelling.

Three virtual sessions complement the program, titled:

  • “Strategic Transformation from Green Competencies to Smart Decision-Making”
  • “Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0 and Advanced Intelligence Systems for Resilience, Security, and Interoperability”
  • “Digital Transition and Human-based Innovation in Health, Justice, and Markets.”

Alongside the conference, a student exhibition showcases specialized projects and highlights innovations and practical uses of emerging technologies across disciplines such as humanities, IT, business administration, economics, and English language studies.
