Opensignal, a global network analytics firm, will collaborate with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to improve monitoring and enhancement of Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) for telecom subscribers nationwide. The initiative leverages crowd-sourced data to provide objective, real-time insights into network performance across fixed broadband and mobile technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
Opensignal’s data-driven analytics will help PTA monitor key performance indicators such as speeds, latency, coverage gaps, and user experience, aligning with International Telecommunication Union (ITU) standards and global best practices. This collaboration strengthens PTA’s capacity to make evidence-based decisions that protect consumer interests, encourage investment, and support network expansion.
