Telecom Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KareXpert, an AI-powered healthcare technology company, to launch a comprehensive digital healthcare platform hosted on a secure national cloud within Egypt. The platform integrates a Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) with unified electronic medical records and revenue cycle management solutions, offering hospitals a consolidated view of clinical and administrative data to improve operational efficiency aligned with global best practices.
Backed by Reliance Jio, KareXpert’s solutions seamlessly integrate with existing hospital systems and provide a unified digital payment pathway, simplifying billing and accelerating revenue collection while ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance. The secure local cloud hosting guarantees sovereignty over health information, with scalability for future AI and IoT applications.
This collaboration fits within Telecom Egypt’s strategy to expand beyond high-speed connectivity and 5G by providing secure national cloud services and AI-driven digital solutions supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 digital transformation goals.
The MoU was signed during the “Africa Health ExCon 2025” conference in Cairo. Mohamed Nasr, Telecom Egypt’s CEO, highlighted the company’s journey from building a nationwide fiber-optic network to strengthening it with 5G and forming strategic global partnerships to deliver innovative digital solutions enhancing sector performance and security.
Nidhi Jain, KareXpert’s CEO, emphasized their experience in India and other countries and expressed confidence in accelerating healthcare digitalization across Egypt through this partnership.
KareXpert currently operates in over 500 hospitals and medical centers across six countries, serving more than 15 million patients. Their clientele includes major Indian healthcare providers like Apollo, Reliance, and the Ministry of Defence, supporting various hospital types and healthcare networks.
