The Human Resources Directorate at Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior won the Bahrain Digital Content Awards 2025 in the “Government and Citizen Engagement” category. The award recognizes their AI-based mobile application developed to monitor and improve recovery rates from drug addiction, part of the national digital transformation efforts.
Brigadier Adel Amin, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, credited the success to the continuous support of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, who champions innovation and digital service enhancement.
The project involved close collaboration with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence. The AI-driven application simulates human cognitive functions to analyze behavioral factors influencing addiction recovery, helping shape more effective policies and targeted interventions.
