Jordan’s Ministry of Government Communications released a report highlighting the completion of ten significant projects across digital economy, telecommunications, and cybersecurity sectors in June. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, key achievements include the launch of “Tawasul,” the country’s first unified digital platform to enhance public engagement in policymaking by enabling feedback on draft laws and national initiatives.
The Ministry of Transport, in coordination with security agencies and regulatory bodies, piloted smart gates at Queen Alia International Airport to streamline automated traveler clearance for Jordanians.
In telecommunications, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) introduced emergency guidelines mandating service continuity during crises and approved competition protection regulations to improve market efficiency, aligning with Jordan’s 2018 national policy and competition law. The TRC also initiated a market review, launching a tender for a global consulting firm and conducted frequency spectrum surveys to address interference issues in Aqaba.
On cybersecurity, the National Cybersecurity Center published its first-quarter 2025 security status report, trained 29 teachers through the “Cyber Toolkit” program, and launched the “Cyber Snapshot” awareness competition to promote cybersecurity content creation.
Jordan Post expanded its legal notification services by adding new channels for judicial notices across post offices, complementing existing court and land registry communication methods.
