Cairo, Egypt – Orascom Development Egypt (ODE) has appointed Dr. Eskandar Tooma as the new Non-Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors, succeeding Dr. Samy Saad Zaghloul, who completed a six-year term. Dr. Samy will continue his association with ODE as Chairman of its non-profit foundation.
Dr. Tooma returns to ODE after serving as an executive director from 2013 to 2016. With over two decades in academia, he was a tenured Professor of Finance and founding head of the Finance Unit at the American University in Cairo. His extensive leadership includes non-executive board roles in Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Egypt Post, Madinat Masr, and others.
