ZIRA Group Marks 30 Years with Bold Rebrand and Launch of AI-Powered Modular BSS Platform

As ZIRA Group approaches its 30th anniversary, the Bosnian business support systems (BSS) innovator is celebrating not only three decades of growth but also unveiling a strategic rebrand and a groundbreaking AI-driven Telco Platform designed to meet the evolving demands of the global telecom industry.

Founded amidst the challenges following the Bosnian War by electrical engineer Zijah Rašidagić, ZIRA began as a modest IT firm with ambitions to deliver exportable software and foster innovation within Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, it stands as a prominent global BSS player with offices spanning Bosnia, the Netherlands, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE.

The recent rebrand to ZIRA Group reflects this expansive global footprint and its broad portfolio, serving diverse customers including FibreCos, NetCos, TowerCos, and SatCos worldwide. CEO Emir Bukvić remarked, “We’ve grown well beyond our roots, aligning our identity with a broader, more dynamic portfolio.”

Central to ZIRA’s latest offering is its AI Telco Platform, which harnesses predictive AI for precise forecasting and a generative AI agent delivering real-time actionable insights to optimize telco operations. This innovation addresses the complexity of network and billing data analytics, empowering telecom operators to achieve more efficient, customer-centric management.

Flexibility remains core to ZIRA’s approach. The modular All-in-One BSS platform, built on open APIs, enables operators to customize solutions tailored to their unique needs, ensuring they pay only for what they use. This modularity supports players ranging from Tier 1 giants to smaller operators, with a scalable “Pay-as-You-Grow” SaaS model that facilitates gradual expansion without upfront financial pressure.

Recognizing telcos’ challenges in scaling and monetizing, ZIRA Group has developed a Partner Management solution that decouples partner activities from the core BSS stack. This unified, modular platform accelerates partner onboarding, enhances visibility, and simplifies billing and revenue sharing, fostering stronger, scalable partnerships crucial for new revenue streams.

Bukvić highlights regional contrasts in innovation pace: “The Middle East eagerly embraces disruption and emerging technologies, while Europe remains cautious due to legacy scale and mindset.” Recently onboarding clients in Africa and eyeing Southeast Asia, ZIRA aims to capitalize on markets with younger, mobile-first populations and greater operational agility.

Looking ahead, ZIRA Group is focused on transforming its platform into a fully SaaS-enabled, modular ecosystem that supports both full-stack telcos and independent infrastructure units. As it celebrates three decades of resilience and innovation, ZIRA Group exemplifies how agile, AI-powered software platforms are reshaping the telecom landscape globally.
