Bahrain and Kuwait Strengthen Strategic Partnership in Transportation and Infrastructure

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, welcomed Dr. Noura Mohammed Al Mashaan, Kuwait’s Minister of Public Works, during her official visit to Bahrain. The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted ties and longstanding strategic partnership between the two Gulf nations, emphasizing mutual respect and cooperation under the directives of their leaders.

The visit focused on advancing collaboration in transportation, logistics, and infrastructure development, with an emphasis on expanding maritime connectivity and joint Gulf economic initiatives aligned with GCC regional integration goals. Both ministers discussed activating existing agreements and enhancing joint projects in port operations, maritime navigation, and land transport through clear frameworks and coordinated efforts.

Dr. Noura Al Mashaan praised Bahrain’s progress in transportation infrastructure and stressed the importance of digital innovation to support regional economic growth. The visit concluded with a tour of Khalifa Bin Salman Port and cultural exploration of Bahrain’s maritime heritage, reinforcing the strong historical and economic bonds between the two countries.
