ORA Technologies, a Moroccan startup known for its ‘E-Morocco for Everyone’ initiative, has secured $7.5 million in Series A funding led by Azur Innovation Fund alongside three local strategic investors. This funding round brings ORA’s total local investment to $11.9 million since early 2023, setting a new record in Morocco’s tech ecosystem.
ORA operates in retailtech and fintech, addressing Morocco’s rising demand for accessible e-commerce and digital payment solutions. Its food delivery platform, Kooul, has attracted over 15,000 active users within 10 months, offering a cost-effective model that benefits customers, restaurants, and delivery riders alike.
ORA’s mobile wallet, ORA Cash, has rapidly grown to over 50,000 users in five months, enabling instant, free money transfers and quick payment account setup. The app also supports digitization of cash-on-delivery transactions among delivery personnel.
The company will use the fresh capital to expand its platform offerings and strengthen its role in Morocco’s digital economy.
