Oman-Based Startup ZabonEx Raises $100,000 in Pre-Seed Funding to Transform F&B Demand Forecasting

Oman-based predictive analytics startup ZabonEx has secured $100,000 in pre-seed funding led by Future Fund Oman and ITHCA Group. Founded in 2023 by Hatim Moosa and Almuhannad Al Balushi, ZabonEx offers a B2B SaaS platform that provides real-time, customer-level demand forecasting for Food & Beverage (F&B) producers, distributors, and retailers. The platform helps optimise inventory, reduce waste, and increase profitability.

The funding will be used to enhance ZabonEx’s predictive engine, expand its tech team, and forge strategic partnerships across Oman’s food supply chain. The startup is also developing customised onboarding and reporting tools tailored to the local market as it prepares for regional expansion.

Hatim Moosa, co-founder of ZabonEx, said, “This round is a major step forward for us. It will allow us to accelerate both business development and product enhancement within Oman’s F&B ecosystem. We are committed to building a strong local foundation before expanding to regional markets.”

Co-founder Almuhannad Al Balushi added, “F&B businesses face pressure to stay profitable while meeting sustainability goals. ZabonEx empowers them to forecast demand at a granular level, improving margins and reducing environmental impact.”

ZabonEx aims to become the leading intelligence layer for data-driven distribution across the region by leveraging smart, data-informed solutions that help F&B businesses sell more and waste less.
