Iraq Ranks Near Bottom in 2025 Global Technology Advancement Index

According to a recent report by US-based CEOWORLD magazine, Iraq ranks 184th out of 197 countries in global technology advancement for 2025, with a score of 50.67. The assessment underscores a rapid global tech evolution led by a few nations prioritizing research, infrastructure investment, and early adoption of advanced technologies.

The United States leads the ranking with 97.69 points, driven by leadership in AI, biotechnology, and innovation hubs like Silicon Valley. Other top countries include Israel, Taiwan, China, India, South Korea, and Singapore.

Among Arab nations, the UAE tops regional rankings at 36th globally, followed by Saudi Arabia (73rd), Tunisia (126th), Bahrain (142nd), and Qatar (163rd). Iraq’s ranking places it just above Yemen and Pakistan, highlighting significant challenges in technological development.
