Bahrain Space Agency and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Discuss Satellite Frequency Registration

Bahrain’s Space Agency (BSA) and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held a key meeting to discuss the registration of satellite frequencies, reviewing partnership opportunities and commending the successful submission of the Al Munther satellite frequency file to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The collaboration, adhering to the highest international standards, highlights the technical expertise of both agencies. Discussions covered national frequency allocation for space activities aligned with international regulations and the rapid growth of Bahrain’s space sector.

The two organizations also explored cooperation in representing Bahrain at regional and global events focused on space frequency allocation. BSA adviser Dr. Mohammed Al Othman emphasized that this partnership strengthens Bahrain’s position in the space sector, supporting national projects and technological innovation.

TRA’s spectrum director Hassan Mohammed underscored the authority’s dedication to advancing Bahrain’s space ambitions and managing frequencies according to best international practices.
