The ICT Association of Jordan (int@j), in partnership with Dutch organization PUM and the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA), hosted a two-day workshop to facilitate Jordanian technology companies’ entry into the Netherlands and broader European markets, Petra reported.
Twenty-two Jordanian IT firms participated in the event, which featured sessions on Dutch market regulations, sales and marketing strategies, legal compliance, and partnership matching. Individual consultations were also provided, with planned follow-up sessions and field visits to the Netherlands.
Engineer Nidal Al-Bitar, CEO of int@j, emphasized the association’s commitment to opening international doors for its members, targeting promising markets like the Netherlands. Mariska Lammers, First Secretary at the Dutch Embassy in Jordan, highlighted how supporting Jordan’s tech sector strengthens bilateral ties and empowers youth through entrepreneurship and high-value jobs.
Jos Backer, PUM Director in Jordan, noted the goal of blending Dutch expertise with Jordanian innovation for sustainable growth. JEBA Director General Hussam Saleh underscored the economic impact of linking Jordan to the EU via the Netherlands.
The workshop covered practical steps for entering the Dutch and European markets, including company registration, compliance, taxation, intellectual property, service delivery, and contract management. Success stories from similar firms provided actionable insights.
