Rabat — Maroc Telecom announced that its customer base exceeded 80 million in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 2.3% increase from the same period last year. This growth is attributed to a 3.7% rise in customer numbers across its subsidiaries despite operating in a highly competitive and regulated market.
As of June 30, Maroc Telecom’s mobile customer base in Morocco reached 18.93 million, while fixed-line subscribers topped 1.6 million, and broadband users surpassed 1.4 million.
Internationally, the group serves over 57.5 million mobile customers, with significant presence in Burkina Faso (12.21 million), Côte d’Ivoire (11.96 million), Mali (8.43 million), Chad (7.26 million), and Benin (5.54 million). Additional customers are spread across Niger (4.14 million), Mauritania (2.5 million), Gabon (1.6 million), and the Central African Republic (280,000+).
The fixed-line customer base on the continent reached 388,000, mainly in Mali, Burkina Faso, Gabon, and Mauritania.
In 2024, Maroc Telecom reported a slight 0.4% decline in net profit but achieved consolidated revenue growth of 1.2%, exceeding $3.67 billion, driven by a 4.6% revenue increase from its Moov Africa subsidiaries.
