Leading telecom operator Vi announced the launch of its 5G services in Jaipur starting tomorrow, as part of its broader 5G rollout across 23 cities in India, focusing on 17 priority circles where it holds 5G spectrum. The rollout follows earlier launches in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Mysuru, Chandigarh, Patna, and Nagpur.
Vi customers in Jaipur with 5G-enabled devices can access unlimited 5G data on plans starting at ₹299. The service enables high-definition streaming, gaming, video conferencing, faster downloads, and real-time cloud access. To ensure optimal network performance, Vi has partnered with Ericsson to deploy advanced, energy-efficient infrastructure and implemented AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON).
Following last year’s Follow on Public Offer (FPO), Vi has upgraded its 4G network extensively across Rajasthan, deploying 900 MHz spectrum on 2,700+ sites for better indoor coverage and enhancing 2100 MHz spectrum capacity on over 4,500 sites. These improvements highlight Vi’s commitment to consistent, high-quality connectivity in both urban and rural areas.
Shailendra Singh, Operations Director at Vodafone Idea, expressed enthusiasm for bringing next-generation connectivity to Jaipur and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to expanding its 5G footprint in line with growing demand and handset adoption.
