Jordanian Tech Firms Prepare for Entry into Dutch and European Markets through Strategic Workshop

AMMAN — The ICT Association of Jordan (int@j), in partnership with Dutch organisation PUM and the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA), hosted a two-day workshop focused on facilitating the entry of Jordanian technology companies into the Dutch and broader European markets. The event was attended by 22 Jordanian IT firms and aligns with int@j’s mission to bridge local tech businesses with global opportunities.

The programme included specialised sessions on Dutch market regulations, sales and marketing, legal compliance, and partnership matching, alongside individual consultations for participating companies. Follow-up sessions and field visits to the Netherlands are planned to deepen engagement.

Nidal Bitar, CEO of int@j, emphasized the association’s goal to create significant value by unlocking access to markets with strong potential, such as the Netherlands. Mariska Lammers, First Secretary for Economic and Water Affairs at the Dutch embassy, highlighted the initiative’s role in strengthening bilateral ties and empowering Jordanian youth through entrepreneurship and job creation.

PUM Director Jos Backer noted the programme’s objective to blend Dutch expertise with Jordanian innovation for sustainable growth in both regions. JEBA Director General Hussam Saleh added that establishing connections between Jordan and the EU through the Netherlands will generate tangible economic benefits.

Participants explored strategic approaches for effectively preparing for the Dutch market, including regulatory and legal company establishment procedures, compliance, taxation, and intellectual property considerations. The workshop also addressed best practices for service delivery and contract management, focusing on sectors such as outsourcing, software development, managed services, and consulting. Practical case studies and success stories were shared to guide companies in their expansion efforts.
