Saudi Electric Company – National Grid, responsible for power transmission across Saudi Arabia, has awarded Wipro a multi-year strategic contract to implement a smart meter data management (MDM) system. This initiative aims to modernize the client’s meter data platform, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance risk management.
Wipro will design, develop, implement, and support the infrastructure and smart applications for the new MDM system. By continuously monitoring real-time data on power flow, voltage, and equipment status, the system will boost grid stability and enable intelligent forecasting and reporting for better grid planning.
The solution’s intelligent integrations will facilitate proactive maintenance, faster fault detection, and improved visibility of energy consumption patterns. This will optimize power dispatch, lower operational costs, minimize outages, and improve the overall end-user experience.
