Sohar Port and Freezone has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swiss pioneer HYNAT SA to develop a full natural hydrogen value chain in Oman. This collaboration targets identification of hydrogen production sites, logistics development, storage, processing, and market demand, supporting Oman’s clean energy goals.
Building on a prior agreement with Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals, the partnership aims to align operational milestones with the country’s Vision 2040 clean energy strategy. Sohar Port will position itself as a hub for low-carbon industrial growth, leveraging HYNAT’s geological expertise and AI technologies to unlock natural hydrogen’s potential.
