On July 30, 2025, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), represented by Director General Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, took part in the official inauguration of the Jordan Digital Health Centre in Amman, Jordan. The event was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan.
The Jordan Digital Health Centre is a pioneering virtual hospital initiative aimed at connecting healthcare centers through an integrated electronic medical records system via a unified digital platform. The project seeks to enhance Jordan’s healthcare sector by enabling remote care services that meet international standards.
This centre was developed with the support of UAE-based company Presight, specializing in AI-driven digital solutions, in collaboration with Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The initiative is part of the UAE’s AED 1.5 billion grant portfolio managed by ADFD to support development projects aligned with Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision 2023-2025 and the National Council for Future Technology agenda.
During the inauguration, Prince Al Hussein praised the UAE leadership and highlighted the project as a symbol of strong strategic ties and cross-border collaboration, emphasizing its role in advancing sustainable development and economic integration between the two nations.
Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development and described the centre as a transformative step towards modernizing healthcare with advanced digital and AI-powered platforms, improving accessibility and efficiency while fostering a resilient patient-centric model.
ADFD has a long-standing partnership with Jordan dating back to 1974 and has supported development projects worth over AED 6.5 billion across sectors such as energy, transportation, water, food security, healthcare, and education, significantly contributing to Jordan’s social and economic progress.
