STC Group is set to deliver a high-performance, reliable gaming experience at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) by deploying cutting-edge 5G technology and robust infrastructure. Returning as an Elite and Founding Partner following its pivotal role in the inaugural 2024 event, STC has installed 27 high-capacity 5G towers across key tournament sites—including three exclusively dedicated to the event centre.
The network infrastructure features AI-driven traffic modelling, Self-Optimising Networks (SON), and closed-loop automation, providing proactive insights and real-time adjustments to ensure seamless connectivity throughout the event. Indoor venues benefit from an extensive network supported by over 1,295 antennas delivering ultra-fast 4G and 5G services with internet speeds exceeding 2 Gbps, guaranteeing smooth, responsive gameplay and digital engagement.
STC’s state-of-the-art operations center is equipped with 168-megapixel ultra-high-resolution displays, enabling real-time monitoring and immediate incident response across all EWC facilities. The company also employs Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies to maintain agile and uninterrupted data flow, expanding venue coverage by over 20% compared to 2024.
In the previous EWC, STC’s integrated infrastructure achieved 99.9% network availability and ultra-low latency, earning the company the “Platinum Operator” award for the eighth consecutive year by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission. This cements STC’s leadership in digital infrastructure and telecom services within the esports sector.
STC’s smart technologies and expanded infrastructure ensure a secure, fully connected, and globally competitive digital experience at EWC 2025 and beyond.
