Huawei organized a 5G demonstration at the Digital Bangladesh Mela 2020, held from January 16 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka. Visitors experienced gigabit-level 5G speed tests for free, alongside interactive humanoid robot shows and real-time virtual reality skiing powered by 5G technology.
The event highlighted Huawei’s role as a global 5G leader, with 70% of worldwide 5G networks powered by the company. Huawei emphasized the importance of 4G expansion and 5G’s potential to drive digital transformation by supporting diverse data services and integrating fixed, mobile, and broadcast networks.
Digital Bangladesh Mela 2020 aimed to showcase technological innovation, bridge the talent gap, and promote digital growth aligned with the country’s vision. The event featured 100 stalls, conferences, and seminars covering topics like digital economy, smart cities, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed was expected to inaugurate the mela.
