Huawei Qatar Launches ‘Go Paint’ Art Initiative to Inspire Creativity and Technology Integration in Schools

Huawei Qatar recently launched its innovative ‘Go Paint’ art initiative at Khalifa Secondary School for Boys and Amna Bint Wahb Secondary School for Girls, engaging 30 students in a creative workshop that combined traditional drawing with digital art using Huawei’s latest MatePad devices.

Renowned Qatari artist Hassan Al-Mutawa led the session at Khalifa Secondary School, guiding students to explore artistic expression through modern digital drawing techniques. The initiative aims to foster creativity while promoting technology as a tool for artistic innovation.

Maryam Ali Al-Nusf Al-Buainain, Director of the Department of Schools and Student Affairs at Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), praised the collaboration with Huawei as a successful public-private partnership enhancing Qatar’s education system. She highlighted the workshops’ role in enriching summer school activities and supporting students in developing visual expression skills aligned with digital age demands.

Al-Buainain emphasized extracurricular activities’ importance in shaping holistic student personalities, calling the initiative a vital step toward fostering creativity and innovation, aligned with Qatar’s vision to build a creative generation ready for the future. She expressed gratitude to Huawei and enthusiasm for future collaborations that benefit education quality in Qatar.

Huawei, committed to empowering youth through technology and creativity, developed the dedicated art app GoPaint to provide a comprehensive digital artistic experience. Tang Liangjian, Huawei Qatar’s country manager, stated, “Go Paint is more than an art activity—it’s a platform for cultural expression and creative learning, supporting Qatar’s knowledge-based society vision.”
