Algeria and Slovenia are advancing their space cooperation, with SkyLabs d.o.o. selected as a strategic partner for the Algerian Space Agency’s (ASAL) upcoming satellite constellation missions. Recent bilateral meetings in Algiers involved representatives from ASAL, the Slovenian Space Office, and space industry experts from both countries, establishing a framework for collaboration in space technologies and applications.
Dejan Gacnik, Technical Director at SkyLabs, highlighted productive discussions with ASAL leadership, including Dr. Mohammed Kameche and Dr. Habib Mahi, focusing on satellite technology and mutual cooperation objectives. The partnership is set to be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reflecting its strategic significance.
Ms. Tanja Permozer, Head of the Slovenian Space Office, and Her Excellency Ms. Urška Kramberger Mendek, Slovenian Ambassador to Algeria, attended the meetings, underscoring the high-level commitment to fostering this bilateral space partnership.
