UAE’s TDRA Launches National System to Monitor Electromagnetic Radiation

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) of the UAE has introduced a national system to monitor non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation from communication sources such as mobile towers and broadcasting stations. This initiative aims to protect public health and enhance radiation monitoring across the country.

The system operates via an interactive digital platform that measures, analyzes, and shares radiation data transparently with the public. Utilizing a network of sensors deployed across cities, TDRA enables citizens to track radiation levels around them, ensuring compliance with national and international health standards.

This project highlights TDRA’s commitment to transparency and innovation, promoting safe and responsible operation of the UAE’s telecommunications infrastructure.
