MillenniumIT ESP, alongside South Asian Technologies Ltd. and its subsidiary Ezoref Technologies Ltd., officially launched Cohesity in Sri Lanka through a knowledge-sharing event titled “Catalyst on the Road: The Reality of Cyber Resilience,” held at Shangri-La Colombo. The session gathered over 30 senior IT leaders from leading private and public sector organisations, including telecommunications, manufacturing, government, and banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI).
The event highlighted the critical need for secure, scalable, and intelligent data management amid rising cyber threats. MillenniumIT ESP CEO Shevan Goonetilleke emphasized that “cyber resilience is not a choice; it is a necessity,” stressing the company’s role in empowering clients to strengthen data security through Cohesity’s advanced platforms.
Participants explored Cohesity’s next-generation solutions designed to simplify data protection, accelerate recovery, and defend against ransomware attacks by leveraging AI-powered intelligence. Cohesity’s entry into the Sri Lankan market was welcomed by its representatives as a pivotal step toward transforming enterprise data into a protected asset.
Key presentations included Cohesity Account Director Brijesh Mishra discussing a strategic partnership with Veritas, and Sales Engineer Aditya Jha outlining the technology roadmap. MillenniumIT ESP’s Associate Vice President – Platforms Kanchana Herath detailed how the company will drive Cohesity’s growth and enterprise-grade data protection in Sri Lanka.
The event concluded with a keynote from Ezoref Technologies CEO Yusuf Shiraz and a networking dinner, fostering collaboration between local partners and Cohesity experts. Shiraz highlighted the event’s role in initiating impactful conversations about advancing data security in Sri Lanka.
