MillenniumIT ESP and Partners Launch Cohesity to Strengthen Cyber Resilience in Sri Lanka

MillenniumIT ESP, in partnership with South Asian Technologies Ltd. and its subsidiary Ezoref Technologies Ltd., successfully launched Cohesity in Sri Lanka through a high-impact event titled “Catalyst on the Road: The Reality of Cyber Resilience”, held at Shangri-La Colombo. The event marked a strategic step forward in promoting advanced data protection and cyber resilience within the country.

The knowledge-sharing session gathered over 30 senior IT leaders from Sri Lanka’s leading public and private sector organizations, including those in telecommunications, manufacturing, government, and the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sectors. The focus of the event was the increasing need for secure, scalable, and intelligent data management solutions amid evolving cyber threats.

MillenniumIT ESP Director and CEO Shevan Goonetilleke emphasized the importance of cyber resilience, stating, “Cyber resilience is not a choice; it is a necessity.” He noted that the partnership with Cohesity empowers clients to proactively manage their data security posture, aligning with a broader mission to deliver transformative technologies across enterprises in Sri Lanka.

The event featured detailed presentations on Cohesity’s next-gen data protection platforms, which are designed to simplify backup processes, accelerate recovery, and offer powerful defense against ransomware. These platforms integrate operational efficiency with AI-powered intelligence, offering a modern approach to managing and protecting enterprise data.

A Cohesity representative officially announced the company’s entry into the Sri Lankan market, describing the mission as one of redefining data as a protected asset rather than a liability. The dialogue with local enterprises during the event highlighted a readiness to embrace this shift toward AI-driven cyber resilience.

Cohesity Account Director Brijesh Mishra provided insights into the company’s strategic partnership with Veritas, while Sales Engineer Aditya Jha presented a comprehensive technology roadmap. From MillenniumIT ESP, Associate Vice President – Platforms Kanchana Herath discussed Cohesity’s enterprise-grade protection capabilities and outlined how MillenniumIT ESP would play a pivotal role in growing Cohesity’s presence in the Sri Lankan market.

The evening concluded with a keynote from Yusuf Shiraz, CEO of Ezoref Technologies Ltd., who emphasized the value of such forums in catalyzing the right conversations around digital security. The event wrapped up with a networking dinner, giving attendees the opportunity to connect directly with Cohesity experts and local technology partners.

With the official launch now complete, Cohesity is well-positioned to support Sri Lankan enterprises in modernizing their data security infrastructure. Backed by the combined strength of MillenniumIT ESP and South Asian Technologies, this initiative is expected to significantly bolster the country’s cyber resilience landscape.
