Zong 4G Secures 2nd Place in PTA Cyber Security Awards 2025

Zong CMPak, Pakistan’s leading technology innovation company, has claimed 2nd place in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Annual Cyber Security Awards 2025, moving up from 3rd place last year in the competitive Category-I segment for Cellular Mobile Operators and large multi-license operators. The results were announced at the Next-Gen Cyber Resilience Workshop and Telecom Cyber Security Awards 2025.

PTA conducts yearly cybersecurity audits of all telecom stakeholders, evaluating readiness against evolving threats. Zong’s improved ranking reflects strong compliance with Critical Telecom Data & Infrastructure Security Regulation audits, enhanced external attack surface management, active threat intelligence sharing with the National Telecom Security Operations Center (nTSOC), effective participation in the National Telecom Cyber Emergency Response Team (nTCERT), and a high DNSSEC validation score from APNIC.

Rehan Siddiq, Head of Information Security at Zong 4G, credited the achievement to the team’s dedication and the company’s ongoing commitment to cybersecurity leadership. He affirmed that Zong will continue investing in innovative security solutions to protect customers and meet national cyber standards.

Zong 4G remains focused on advancing Pakistan’s telecom security environment, aligning with global best practices and PTA regulatory frameworks.
