Jordan Launches National Digital Transformation Strategy 2026–2028

Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has unveiled the National Digital Transformation Strategy 2026–2028, a comprehensive plan aligned with the country’s Economic Modernization Vision, Public Sector Modernization Roadmap, and Political Modernization Document.

The strategy envisions building a digitally empowered, secure, and sustainable Jordan that leverages technology and innovation to drive economic growth. It focuses on three main areas: strengthening digital infrastructure, advancing a competitive digital economy, and promoting inclusivity and sustainability.

Among its key objectives are the creation of unified, user-centered platforms for government services and fostering a national digital economy powered by entrepreneurship and innovation. The framework is structured around five strategic pillars: digital infrastructure, seamless government services, digital identity and signature, privacy and digital trust, and digital inclusion. Supporting elements include updated legislative frameworks, strategic partnerships, data governance, and the integration of AI and emerging technologies.

Guided by principles such as citizen-centered design, universal access, and a “digital by design” philosophy, the strategy targets four key groups: government entities, individuals, private sector businesses and civil society organizations, and government employees. It will be implemented through a collaborative governance model involving the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Prime Ministry’s Digital Transformation Unit.
