Turner & Townsend has been selected to provide project and cost management services for a major hyperscale data centre development in Dubai, set to enhance the UAE telecom operator du’s data centre capabilities and expand hyperscale cloud infrastructure in the region.
The facility, located on a 20,000-square-metre greenfield site, is designed as a high-tech hub with a strong focus on resilience, scalability, and energy efficiency. The project is also targeting LEED Gold sustainability certification, underscoring a commitment to green building standards.
Once complete, the data centre is expected to solidify the UAE’s position as a leader in global digital infrastructure and bolster its ambition to serve as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and advanced digital services.
Ajay Mangara, Data Centre Lead for the UAE at Turner & Townsend, described the appointment as a milestone project:
