Jazz Reaffirms Compliance Amid Audit Report Scrutiny

Jazz, Pakistan’s largest telecom operator, has issued a clarification following the Auditor General of Pakistan’s (AGP) FY2024-25 audit report, which flagged financial irregularities across the telecom sector. The report, now under review by the Senate Standing Committee on IT and Telecom, cited Jazz for allegedly overcharging subscribers by Rs6.8 billion.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Jazz stressed that it operates “in full compliance with Pakistan’s regulatory framework,” adding that all tariffs and services are approved by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The company further highlighted its adherence to transparency in all regulatory processes.

The Senate committee has scheduled a meeting on August 25 to review the AGP’s findings and examine telecom companies’ compliance practices. With lawmakers and regulators intensifying scrutiny, Jazz emphasized its commitment to conducting business within Pakistan’s established legal and regulatory boundaries.
