Tunisie Telecom and Olympic Champion Osama Mellouli Bring Joy to Hospitalized Children

Tunis – During the vacation and Ramadan period, when hospitalized children often struggle to find joy, Olympic and world swimming champion Osama Mellouli joined forces with Tunisie Telecom to bring smiles to young patients at the “Bechir Hamza” hospital in Bab Saadoun.

On Thursday, June 25, 2015, Mellouli, a double Olympic gold medalist, visited the hospital’s pediatric surgery ward alongside Tunisie Telecom officials. The event gave children the opportunity to meet the champion, take photos, and share moments of joy in what became a festive and uplifting atmosphere.

As part of the initiative, Tunisie Telecom provided educational tablets for young patients and professional-use tablets for hospital staff, easing both treatment and learning during hospitalization.

Lotfi Boughammoura, Director General of the hospital, and Professor Mourad Hamzaoui, Head of Pediatric Surgery, expressed gratitude for the initiative, which brought happiness to children undergoing treatment.

“It was a great pleasure to see smiles on the lips of sick children after receiving their tablets. A thousand thanks to Tunisie Telecom,” said a visibly moved Osama Mellouli.

Tunisie Telecom reaffirmed its commitment to such acts of solidarity, pledging to support further initiatives to improve the experiences of patients and facilitate the work of medical staff.
