InnoTech, in partnership with bp Oman, has launched the fourth cycle of its FabTech Mobile Laboratory, designed to enhance interactive learning and strengthen scientific culture among students. This year’s cycle introduces cutting-edge technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), alongside existing features including electronics, 3D printing, CNC machines, and wood engraving tools.
During this round, the FabTech Mobile Lab visited six schools across the Ad’Dakhiliyah and Muscat governorates, engaging more than 600 students. The lab also expanded its interior, doubling capacity from 6–8 participants per workshop to 12, allowing more students to benefit from hands-on training in each session.
“The lab provides students with hands-on experience in modern manufacturing technologies like 3D printing, laser cutting, and wood engraving. Our goal is to empower students to transform ideas into tangible products, while fostering innovation through AI integration,” said Eng. Othman Al-Mandhari, Founder and CEO of InnoTech.
Ibrahim Al Hinai, Social Investment Manager at bp Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with Oman Vision 2040, noting that the program will continue visiting schools in Ad’Dakhiliyah and Ad’Dhahirah. “This initiative not only advances education but also supports innovation, equipping youth with the skills needed for the future economy,” he said.
The FabTech Mobile Lab continues to play a key role in inspiring the next generation of Omani innovators by combining modern technology with practical, workshop-based education.
