Egypt is accelerating its role as a continental and global leader in artificial intelligence with the upcoming launch of Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA), scheduled for 10–12 February 2026 in Cairo. The event builds on Egypt’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (2025–2030) and its recognition as the only African nation ranked among the global top 10 in AI and Machine Learning by the 2024 GBS World Competitiveness Index.
Organized by GITEX GLOBAL and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Ai Everything MEA is positioned as the most influential AI tech week in the Middle East and Africa. It will convene enterprises, startups, policymakers, and thought leaders from over 60 countries.
The event will spotlight use cases and frontier technologies across sectors critical to Egypt’s AI agenda, including outsourcing, semiconductor design, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, digital health, fintech, manufacturing, energy, education, and digital public services. By hosting Ai Everything MEA, Egypt aims to reinforce its position as a hub for AI collaboration and innovation, while attracting international deep-tech investments.
Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized Egypt’s commitment to shaping the future of AI through responsible adoption, policy innovation, and inclusive digital development. “Our National AI Strategy reflects a bold vision: to position Egypt as a leading force in responsible AI adoption, policy innovation, and inclusive digital development,” he said.
Eng. Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, described the summit as a “strategic milestone” that will empower startups, attract global investment, and accelerate Egypt’s innovation ecosystem. Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre, added that Ai Everything MEA will serve as a “force multiplier” for Egypt’s mission to leverage AI for social and economic transformation.
The event will feature a high-level summit, a two-day immersive exhibition, and participation from tech giants including Atos, Cyshield, HPE, and IBM. Over 200 venture capitalists managing more than US$1 trillion in assets are expected to explore investment opportunities in Egypt and the wider region. In parallel, one of the region’s largest youth-tech academies will be launched, channeling new engineering graduates into AI projects and mentorship programs.
Ai Everything MEA is set to mark a defining moment in Egypt’s digital transformation journey, advancing responsible AI deployment, scaling innovation, and fostering inclusive growth across Africa and the Middle East.
