Ooredoo and Qatar Airways Launch Strategic AI and Cloud Partnership

Qatar-based ICT leader Ooredoo and Qatar Airways have unveiled a strategic alliance to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and cybersecurity capabilities in the country. Central to the partnership is the establishment of a national AI hub, designed to deliver advanced infrastructure, tools, and data security frameworks that will support innovation across industries.

A cornerstone of the collaboration is the development of local talent. Through targeted training and upskilling initiatives, the program will cultivate a new generation of professionals equipped to drive AI, cloud, and cybersecurity advancements in line with Qatar’s digital transformation goals.

The initiative also leverages Ooredoo’s investment in the Nvidia GPU platform, activated in July 2025, which provides high-performance computing for businesses, government agencies, and developers. This capability will enable faster innovation, scalability, and real-time data-driven solutions.

By combining Ooredoo’s AI infrastructure with Qatar Airways’ operational expertise, the partnership aims to create more connected, efficient, and customer-centric experiences across aviation and telecommunications. Qatar Airways’ Group CEO, Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, highlighted that the airline has already deployed AI in various areas and sees this partnership as a way to scale its role as a national AI leader.
