Bahraini Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities at Egypt’s Nasr City Free Zone

A Bahraini delegation of senior officials and private sector leaders visited the Nasr City Public Free Zone in Egypt as part of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The tour was aimed at deepening economic and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt, building on their strong trade ties that have significantly boosted bilateral trade volumes.

Organized by Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) in partnership with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the visit included a tour of LEONI Egypt. The company, a global automotive supply chain player, specializes in manufacturing wiring harnesses and power cables.

During the visit, Bahraini delegates highlighted the Kingdom’s favorable investment environment, positioning Bahrain as an attractive hub for regional and international businesses. Established in 1973, the Nasr City Public Free Zone remains one of Egypt’s largest and most significant free zones, playing a vital role in industrial growth and cross-border trade.
