Ooredoo Algérie has achieved a landmark in Algeria’s digital transformation by becoming the country’s first mobile operator to obtain the prestigious “THI9A” electronic trust certification. Issued by the Electronic Certification Authority (AECE) under the supervision of the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority (ARPCE), the certification reflects Algeria’s push to strengthen digital trust and build a secure digital economy.
The THI9A certification, developed by the ARPCE in partnership with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, establishes a reliable framework for electronic transactions. It guarantees authenticity, legality, and security, while simplifying procedures, reducing bureaucratic delays, and ensuring transparency for businesses and public institutions alike.
Ooredoo Algeria CEO Roni Tohme emphasized the milestone as a step forward in modernizing services and supporting Algeria’s national digital strategy. He praised the government and regulatory bodies for fostering trust in digital services, noting Ooredoo’s pride in contributing to a transparent, secure, and forward-looking economy.
