Bahraini Delegation Explores Egypt’s Nasr City Free Zone to Boost Economic Cooperation

A high-level Bahraini delegation of senior officials and private sector leaders visited Egypt’s Nasr City Public Free Zone as part of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation, building on the longstanding trade relationship between Bahrain and Egypt.

Organised by Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) in collaboration with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the tour highlighted opportunities for deepening partnerships.

The delegation explored LEONI Egypt, a major global automotive supply chain manufacturer specializing in wiring harnesses and power cables. Bahraini representatives also showcased the Kingdom’s competitive investment environment, positioning Bahrain as a leading destination for regional and international companies.

Established in 1973, the Nasr City Public Free Zone is one of Egypt’s oldest and largest free zones, playing a key role in industrial growth and international trade.
