COMEX 2025 to Kick Off in Oman, Showcasing Regional Digital Innovation and Strong Egyptian Participation

Muscat – COMEX 2025, Oman’s premier technology and digital transformation exhibition, will officially open tomorrow, Monday, September 8, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event runs until September 11 under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs.

Organized by Al Dar Al Arabia for Data Analysis in cooperation with Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, COMEX continues to serve as a leading platform connecting regional and global technology leaders, innovators, and investors.

Egyptian Participation Highlights Regional Role

This year, COMEX 2025 will see strong participation from Egyptian technology companies, presenting cutting-edge innovations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, fintech, industrial solutions, and commercial tech applications. Their presence underscores Egypt’s position as a regional hub for technology and innovation, with firms seeking to expand partnerships with Gulf and international players while attracting investment to fuel regional growth.

Oman’s Digital Transformation Momentum

The event comes at a time of rapid digital growth in Oman. The country’s digital transformation market reached USD 2.72 billion in 2025, projected to grow to USD 4.65 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 11.36%. According to the national “Tahwul” program, government digital transformation recorded an 80% performance increase by May 2025 year-on-year, with 11.4 million transactions processed across 48 agencies, 96% of targeted services streamlined, and 74% digitized.

Innovation and Strategic Partnerships

COMEX 2025 will feature specialized pavilions covering e-government, startups, fintech, and e-sports, alongside events such as the COMEX Summit, panel discussions, innovation competitions, and technology awards.

Mohamed Sami, General Manager of Al Dar Al Arabia, said the exhibition is a gateway for investment and innovation, offering Egyptian startups and SMEs a chance to connect directly with investors and forge long-term partnerships. He emphasized that Egypt’s participation reflects its fast-growing technology ecosystem, reinforcing its role as a key partner in regional and global digital integration.
