Kalaam Telecom Group’s wholesale arm, Kalaam Carrier Solutions (KCS), has extended its strategic partnership with Riedel Networks for another three years, reaffirming their commitment to delivering seamless, mission-critical communications across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The renewed deal builds on their successful collaboration from 2022 to 2024, where they provided high-performance connectivity for the region’s largest motorsport series spanning Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.
Since 2022, the two companies have established a robust regional network anchored by a Point of Presence (POP) in Manama, Bahrain. Integrated with Kalaam’s fully owned KNOT terrestrial cable system, the POP offers a 100% terrestrial route across the region and connects seamlessly with Riedel’s global backbone. This infrastructure has not only powered motorsport events but also improved regional access and resilience for industries such as finance, energy, and logistics through secure, high-capacity international links.
Leadership Perspectives
Veer Passi, Group CEO of Kalaam Telecom, stated: “As a Bahraini company, Kalaam is proud to serve as the connectivity partner of choice for the world’s premier motorsport series. Riedel’s decision to base its Middle East hub in Bahrain reinforces the Kingdom’s role as a regional digital gateway and highlights Kalaam’s ability to deliver reliable, low-latency connectivity for global events.”
Michael Martens, CEO of Riedel Networks, added: “Our partnership with Kalaam has enabled us to deliver premium connectivity for international motorsport events while supporting enterprises in the MENA region. With this renewed agreement, we are expanding services to meet the growing demands of corporate and event customers.”
Future Outlook
The renewed partnership will further expand regional infrastructure, adding new interconnection points and introducing services designed for enterprises, broadcasters, and digital platforms. Together, KCS and Riedel aim to strengthen the digital backbone of the region while driving innovation in event communications and enterprise connectivity.
