Rabat – BEAMTEL, the Moroccan company specializing in 5G security and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, has officially launched CyberPlatform, the first Moroccan cybersecurity platform fully available in Arabic. Founded by Tibari Jlil, BEAMTEL aims to bridge the digital knowledge gap by offering accessible, localized content to strengthen national cybersecurity awareness.
CyberPlatform provides simplified educational material, interactive sessions, and practical guides to help citizens, SMEs, schools, and public administrations understand digital risks and adopt best practices. It also supports compliance with Morocco’s Law 05-20 on cybersecurity and Law 09-08 on personal data protection, while reinforcing Morocco’s digital sovereignty by making cybersecurity knowledge widely available in the country’s official language.
The platform targets multiple user groups. For citizens, it offers tools to combat phishing, scams, and privacy threats. For SMEs and micro-enterprises—which account for over 90% of Morocco’s economy—it provides practical security resources often unavailable to businesses without dedicated IT teams. Public administrations and critical infrastructure operators are also supported, while schools and universities benefit from early awareness programs to build a security culture among youth.
Morocco faces increasing cyber risks, with Kaspersky reporting 12.6 million web threats in 2024, placing the country among the top three most targeted in Africa. Allianz surveys show that nearly 60% of Moroccan businesses consider cyberattacks a top risk. Despite these threats, Morocco has advanced its legal and institutional frameworks, earning Tier 1 status in the ITU’s Global Cybersecurity Index in 2024.
Tibari Jlil explained that CyberPlatform complements Morocco’s Digital Strategy and the work of the DGSSI by simplifying directives for non-specialists, enhancing resilience against cyberattacks, and promoting a culture of digital trust. By choosing Arabic as its exclusive language, CyberPlatform democratizes access to knowledge and strengthens Morocco’s digital sovereignty.
