Cloud at the Core of UAE’s Digital Transformation, Core42 Leads with Sovereign Cloud Solutions

The UAE’s digital transformation market is valued at $1.57 billion in 2025 and projected to more than double to $3.29 billion by 2030, according to Mordor Intelligence. Cloud technology dominates this growth, accounting for 70% of deployments, while hybrid and edge computing models gain momentum. AI and analytics are driving intelligent automation across industries, helping enterprises meet goals in predictive maintenance, ESG compliance, and operational efficiency.

Government-led strategies like Operation 300bn and the National Digital Economy Strategy are accelerating digital adoption in manufacturing, energy, logistics, and public services. At the heart of this shift is sovereign cloud, ensuring that data remains within UAE borders, in compliance with national laws on cybersecurity and data protection.

Jaafar AlHashmi, Acting VP – Government Sector at Core42, highlighted that the Core42 Sovereign Public Cloud, built on Microsoft Azure and enhanced with Core42’s Insight platform, blends global scalability with locally enforced governance. Already live for two years, it supports over 50 customers, including major government entities and private firms such as First Abu Dhabi Bank.

Core42 also unveiled its Signature Private Cloud, providing full sovereignty for highly regulated sectors such as defense, financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. Hosted entirely in G42-owned facilities and managed by locally cleared staff, it ensures top-tier data security, compliance, and operational resilience.

AI workloads thriving in the Sovereign Public Cloud include fraud detection, predictive healthcare diagnostics, and real-time analytics, particularly in finance and healthcare, which are leading adoption. Logistics and smart mobility are also embracing AI-powered platforms for supply chain optimization and predictive safety systems.

AlHashmi emphasized that Core42’s differentiation lies in its deep partnerships and end-to-end support — from advisory and design to managed services and engineering. By combining Microsoft’s hyperscale innovation with Core42’s sovereign control, the UAE has established a secure, scalable model for AI-enabled digital transformation, reinforcing its role as a global technology hub.
