Doha, Qatar — The GSMA, in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), has revealed new details for MWC25 Doha, the first Mobile World Congress event to be held in the MENA region. Scheduled for November 25–26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, the event is a cornerstone of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030.
The two-day conference will feature over 200 global speakers and more than 150 exhibitors—80% of them international—with attendance expected from 60+ countries. Around 40% of participants are anticipated at director level or higher, underlining the event’s significance as a premier gathering for global technology leaders.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated: “Hosting the inaugural MWC25 Doha is an important milestone for Qatar and for the region. It reflects our commitment to advancing digital transformation under the Digital Agenda 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030, while positioning Doha as a global meeting point for technology, policy, and innovation.”
Major exhibitors already confirmed include Cisco, Dell, Google Cloud, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, Mannai, Microsoft, Nokia, Ooredoo, PwC, Qatar University, VEON, Vodafone, ZTE, and Meeza, a leading Qatari data centre and AI services provider.
To support the launch, five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), Qatar University, Media City Qatar, Ooredoo, and Vodafone.
Vivek Badrinath, Director General of GSMA, noted: “With bold ambitions, strong investment capacity, and a supportive policy environment, MENA is one of the world’s most exciting digital markets right now. With Qatar at the forefront, Doha is the perfect location for this event.”
MWC25 Doha will focus on three global themes:
- AI Nexus (including the Agentic AI Summit and AI Economy Summit)
- Intelligent Economies (covering 5G, security, and data centers)
- Connected Industries (with tracks on fintech, IoT, mobility, and Open Gateway)
The event will also mark the regional debut of 4YFN (4 Years From Now), GSMA’s startup platform, alongside the GSMA Ministerial Programme, the Digital Leaders Program, and Smart City Expo Doha, organized by Fira de Barcelona.
