Rupali Bank PLC has officially launched its upgraded mobile banking service, ‘RupaliCash’, at a ceremony held at the bank’s head office in Dilkusha, Dhaka. The service was inaugurated by Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam, who emphasized that Rupali Bank is the only state-owned bank in Bangladesh with its own mobile financial service platform.
Through RupaliCash, customers can open e-KYC-based accounts and access a wide range of digital financial services. These include cash deposits and withdrawals, wallet-to-wallet fund transfers, balance and transaction inquiries, salary disbursements, mobile recharges, merchant bill payments, and other digital transactions. The initiative is designed to modernize banking operations and expand financial inclusion across the country.
The launch event was attended by senior officials from Rupali Bank, including deputy managing directors Parsoma Alam, Hassan Tanvir, and Md Harunur Rashid, as well as Bangladesh Bank representatives led by director Rafeza Akter Kanta. Additional directors, joint directors, and assistant directors from Bangladesh Bank also participated.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Wahidul Islam stated that RupaliCash would serve as a milestone in offering technology-driven financial solutions to customers, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric services.
