Algeria Expands Digital Skills with Robotics “Training of Trainers” Program in Annaba

The Algerian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has launched a “Training of Trainers” program in robotics at the Skills Center in Annaba, reinforcing its commitment to advancing digital skills nationwide.

The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Annaba Youth Club for Programming and Robotics, under the supervision of the Directorate of Youth and Sports. It forms part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to transform its network of Skills Centers into hubs for free education in key digital fields, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and Cybersecurity.

Currently, Skills Centers are operational in Setif, Annaba, Chlef, and Oran, serving as incubators for knowledge and innovation. The Ministry has confirmed plans to gradually expand these centers across the rest of the country, ensuring equitable access to advanced digital training for youth and professionals.

By equipping trainers with robotics expertise, the program aims to create a multiplier effect, enabling Algeria to cultivate a new generation of innovators who can actively contribute to the nation’s digital transformation.
