Pakistan Launches Cloud Enablement Programme and Startup Fund to Boost Digital Innovation

Islamabad, November 1, 2025 — The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, through its flagship organization Ignite – National Technology Fund, has launched two major national initiatives: the Prime Minister’s Cloud Enablement Programme for Startups and the Pakistan Startup Fund (PSF), marking a new phase in Pakistan’s journey toward a knowledge-based digital economy.

Unveiled under the Prime Minister’s Digital Nation Vision, these initiatives aim to empower entrepreneurs, accelerate innovation, and strengthen Pakistan’s position in the global technology landscape. The programmes will provide startups with cloud infrastructure, funding access, and international exposure — key enablers for scaling innovative ideas into global solutions.

IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to building an enabling environment for youth-led innovation and digital entrepreneurship. “The launch of the Cloud Enablement Programme, the Pakistan Startup Fund, and BridgeStart Pakistan reflects our vision to empower startups, attract global investment, and make Pakistan a competitive force in the digital economy,” she said.

Ignite CEO Rafique Ahmed Burriro highlighted that these initiatives collectively address the critical needs of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem — offering infrastructure, capital, and global market access to help founders thrive sustainably.

In a notable development, Chinese satellite internet firms, including Galaxy Space and Shanghai Space, have also expressed interest in entering the Pakistani market — a move that signals growing international confidence in Pakistan’s expanding tech sector.
