Dubai, November 3, 2025 — InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA (the digital arm of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ericsson at GITEX Global 2025 to drive the digital transformation of the UAE’s utility sector through IoT, automation, and advanced connectivity solutions.
The agreement supports InfraX’s strategy to build smart, connected utilities by co-developing IoT and automation use cases, sharing technical expertise, and creating scalable digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency while enabling future applications.
InfraX, which provides mission-critical digital services and communications infrastructure for DEWA, also holds a special-purpose IoT license, allowing it to commercialize IoT networks and services for both DEWA and external enterprises. Ericsson, with its global experience in network modernization, automation, and mission-critical connectivity, will bring technological depth to the collaboration.
The MoU builds on an ongoing partnership between InfraX and Ericsson, focusing on guiding the digitalization of utility operations and expanding opportunities for innovation and sector-wide growth.
