Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has announced that preparations are underway to renew its long-term partnership with SITA, a leading provider of air transport IT and communications solutions.
The announcement was made during Gateway Gulf 2025, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bahrain from November 2–3, 2025, in the presence of Ahmed Naeemi, Gulf Air Group Chief Technology Officer, and Adonis Succar, SITA’s Vice President of Business Development.
The renewed agreement will cover the maintenance and support of mission-critical airport systems that underpin BIA’s daily operations — from passenger processing and flight management to baggage reconciliation and security validation. These systems, powered by SITA technologies, ensure seamless coordination across airlines, ground handlers, and airport operations through real-time data sharing.
BAC and SITA share a long-standing partnership focused on operational excellence, technological innovation, and enhanced passenger experience. The renewal underscores BIA’s continued commitment to digital modernization and maintaining world-class standards in aviation technology and service delivery.
