Bahrain — Beyon Cyber, part of the Beyon Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bahrain Polytechnic to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). The agreement was formalized during the Arab International Cybersecurity Conference & Exhibition (AICS) held at Exhibition World Bahrain on November 5–6, 2025.
The partnership aims to advance AI-driven cybersecurity research, develop national expertise, and nurture the next generation of Bahraini professionals in emerging technologies. The collaboration aligns with Bahrain’s long-term vision to become a regional innovation hub through academia–industry partnerships and applied research.
Beyon Cyber will provide Bahrain Polytechnic students and researchers with access to its Orryx AI platform, a next-generation Security Operations Centre (SOC) that leverages Agentic AI to automate threat detection, defense, and response capabilities. Students will gain hands-on experience working on advanced projects within Beyon Cyber Labs, contributing to new features and patentable innovations within the Orryx ecosystem.
In parallel, Bahrain Polytechnic is launching new postgraduate research programs, including Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Cybersecurity and AI, to foster innovation and deepen applied research capabilities. The partnership also supports the exploration of joint patents and commercial research outputs, creating new pathways for talent development and job creation.
Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa, CEO of Beyon Cyber, said the initiative will provide students with “real-world opportunities to contribute to advanced AI projects and innovative cybersecurity solutions.” Prof. Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, added that the collaboration bridges the gap between academia and industry at a pivotal moment for Bahrain’s digital transformation.
Together, Beyon Cyber and Bahrain Polytechnic are laying the groundwork for sustainable innovation, national cyber resilience, and AI-powered economic growth, positioning Bahrain as a regional model for digital excellence and research-driven development.
