Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, has directed Nepal Telecom to enhance the quality of its services while expanding its network nationwide. Speaking at the launch of the NT Fibre Student Offer in Kathmandu, he emphasized that true progress in service expansion must be matched by reliability and good governance.

Minister Kharel urged the company to align its operations with the government’s focus on transparency, efficiency, and anti-corruption efforts, calling on Nepal Telecom to terminate contracts that hinder project timelines and to work only with proven, high-performing contractors. He reaffirmed the government’s support for the company’s efforts to deliver effective and high-quality services, particularly in remote areas.
